Level 1 Referee Requirements:
Every official starts at Level 1 and masters increasingly complex rules and field assignments in order to reach Level 2 and 3.
Once you are an official, you must maintain your eligibility each year by renewing your memberships in US Lacrosse and Nevada Interscholastic Lacrosse Officials Association (NILOA), attending the appropriate clinics and passing the written rules and mechanics test.

1. You must be at least 15 years old by March 31, 2012 (and at least two years older than those players you will officiate).
2. Pay your one time registration fee of $50.00. Please make your check out to NILOA, and send to:

3. Join US Lacrosse. Membership is $50.00. To do so, go to www.uslacrosse.org.
4. You must also participate in required training. Each clinic with have both classroom and field training. Your performance in these clinics will be evaluated by NILOA trainers and the results shared with you.
5. Pass a written rules and mechanics test administered by US Lacrosse.
6. Purchase a basic official's uniform and timer from the vendor of your choice. Suggestions are below:
